I retired after a 33 year career with the oil refining and petrochemical industry, and in 2010 my husband, Clay, and I moved to St. Petersburg from Beaumont, Texas. While in Beaumont, I had served as Treasurer and then President of the Old Town Neighborhood Association in The Oaks Historic District of Beaumont. Always an artist, once in St. Pete, I wasted no time setting up a small studio in the Warehouse Arts District, but eventually decided to open my own gallery to showcase only local artists. Woodfield Fine Art Gallery opened in November of 2015 at 2253 Central Avenue, and it hadn’t been open even a week when then HKNA president Brenda Gordon stopped by to welcome us to the neighborhood! The gallery has been awarded HKNA’s Great Business of the Month during the past year because of our interest and collaboration with the neighborhood and local artists.
