FRIENDLY, INFORMAL GATHERINGS
Remember the old fashioned pot luck suppers? The ones where everybody brought a dish to pass, the plates were paper, and the atmosphere very informal and friendly? Well that describes our monthly porch parties to a tee. Here in Historic Kenwood, old friends and strangers mingle in someone's home -- we generally spill well beyond the porch into the house and the gardens -- and no one stays a stranger for long! Since historic architecture is a big part of Kenwood, this is a chance to see what others have done with their homes.

WHO CAN COME?
Everyone who lives in Historic Kenwood is welcome. If you have visitors from out of town, bring them along. If you moved away from Kenwood (we can't see why you'd do that, but oh well!) and want to see your friends and former neighbors, come on back! If you're thinking about moving to Historic Kenwood and want to get a sense of the neighborhood and the folks who live here, please know you'll be welcome.
WHEN ARE THEY AND HOW CAN YOU FIND OUT ABOUT THEM?
Porch parties are the second Friday of every month at 7:00 pm, occasionally subject to change.
The date, time, and location are announced on our calendar of events and in our monthly newsletter. No RSVP required.
WHAT TO BRING?
Anything you enjoy eating and sharing. Some folks who love to cook whip up a quick treat. It's also a great chance to share that old family favorite. Others bring a pizza, box of chicken, chips and dip, veggie platters from the grocery store, or cakes from a bakery. The point is not to stress over this. Just come, bring something to share, and enjoy yourself.
If you want an alcoholic beverage, please bring your own. The host provides non-alcoholic beverages, paper plates, utensils, cups, and napkins.
