Historic Kenwood City Team Meets

The Historic Kenwood City Team, an ad hoc group of community leaders, including HKNA President Jim Longstreth, Historic Kenwood beat officer Bob Kocak, and the community's Codes Enforcement officer, Deidre Favero, met Oct. 17 to discuss a long list of properties with codes violations with pending actions against their owners.

Historic Kenwood was recognized with the Peggy Allen Award at the recent City Beautiful Commission Awards Ceremony for its work with the environment and the Historic Kenwood Garden Workshop.

The City Team meets monthly to hear complaints brought by residents about "priority properties" in need of repair or otherwise in violation of city codes.  Through links to the police and the city's Codes Enforcement department, the City Team is able to put problem resolution on a fast track.   The City Team is also active in traffic management and capital improvement projects, as well as an overall neighborhood plan, currently in development.
