Pavilion painting, September 2003. The Pavilion is in the center of Seminole Park, between 29th and 30th Streets and Burlington and 3rd Avenues North. It was built with city grant funds and matching neighborhood volunteer labor over 22 Saturdays. In 1996, a time capsule was left inside. Volunteers included Bill Heyen, Sue Winger, Sarah Nelson, Leah Hodgen, Chris and Jill Smith, Tay Tarry, Marcia Duley, Sandy Ewing, Carol Hess, Vincent Russell, Jeff Danner, Chris Lantis, Bob Newell, Michele Langeuin, Dan and Kathleen Stroud, and Paula Sili.
- Founders Day, March 2004. Realtors, artists, and entrepreneurs set up shop in HK's Seminole Park to celebrate the founding of the neighborhood. For a description of the day's events, click here. Photos courtesy Chris Smith and Susan Daniel.
