Mayoral Forum in Midtown Gives Candidates a Chance To Address African American Concerns

EVENT DESCRIPTION

A Mayoral Forum, sponsored by the Dr. Carter G. Woodson African American Museum and

the Royal Theater Boys and Girls Club, will be held at 6 – 8 p.m. Tuesday, October 13th, at

2240 9th Avenue South, St. Petersburg. The forum will focus on issues relevant to the African

American community. Both mayoral candidates Bill Foster and Kathleen Ford have confirmed

their participation. The event is free and open to the public.

The moderator’s questions will include those submitted in advance by community residents and

neighborhood leaders. Attendees will have an opportunity to write and submit questions before

the forum.

The Dr. Carter G. Woodson African American Museum’s Board of Directors, staff and patrons are

committed to that the Museum will play a role in helping voters more about the candidates’

positions on the important decisions that will face the next mayor of St. Petersburg.

For more information or directions to the museum please visit the museum’s website at

www.woodsonmuseum.org or call (727) 323-1104.
